dennis Ryan
Chief Creative Officer
Element 79 Partners
|
|
Element 79 Partners was founded on unprecedented mutual client/agency-loyalty with a generous
helping of individual entrepreneurial spirit. Dennis Ryan embodies the latter, bringing a wealth
of imagination and creative firepower to the existing relationships with Founding Clients
PepsiCo and the Quaker Oats Company. He views his role as fostering the agency brand's growth
by servicing those charter accounts in a manner that creates a blueprint for future client
partners across a number of categories.
|
Dennis has enjoyed a steady climb up the creative ladder at such agencies as Needham, Harper and Steers and
J. Walter Thompson Chicago. He honed his craft working with some of the best known brands in the world
including Budweiser, Rold Gold, Frito Lay, Discover Card, Miller Brewing, Kraft, Nestle, Nabisco and
Blockbuster. His enormous enthusiasm for his work is contagious and he has a knack for enhancing ideas with
his sharp eye and experienced ear.
Dennis graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1984 with, he notes, "not one but two highly
unsaleable majors in Art and English." He was thrilled to discover that advertising offered an alternative
to "manning phone lines during local PBS telethons."
A disarming sense of humor combined with an unmatched dedication to client business objectives has long been
the cornerstone of his career. He was, in fact, Needham's youngest Group Creative Director in its history
and joined JWT Chicago in 1997 as its Executive Creative Director. He later assumed responsibilities as the
North American Regional Creative Director, charged further with overseeing the agency's Worldwide Creative
Council.
In his four years at Thompson, he led the successful pitch for Kraft's sprawling Brand Equity campaign,
besting their other six roster agencies. The agency's pro bono work for the Partnership For A Drug-Free
America stands as that organization's strongest recent work and, importantly, he reorganized the department
using today's technology with innovations like the JWT Digital Pre-Pro, which uses the internet to store and
share production information.
He has been married to Maureen since graduating from college, and with two daughters Zoe and Grace, maintains
off-the-job interests in travel, dogs and "good water pressure."
