  Chuck joined the Crispin agency in 1988 as creative director and partner after a long career as an award-winning freelance copywriter. Within three years, Crispin & Porter had doubled in size; it had been profiled in Communications Arts, and named as one of the top 15 creative shops in the country.
The agency is headquartered in Miami, with total billings of approximately $500 million. Their client list includes MINI, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Burger King, and the truth anti-tobacco campaign.

In 2003, in an unprecedented sweep, CP+B became the world's most awarded agency by winning the Grand Prix at Cannes, an O'Toole award for overall creative excellence from the American Association of Advertising Agencies, as well as the grand prizes at the CLIOS, EFFIES, Kelly's, OBIES, APG awards and the One Show.

The agency and its work has been profiled in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Forbes, Fast Company, Time, Newsweek, Advertising Age, Creativity and Archive. This year CP+B was named "Agency of the Year" by both Advertising Age and Creativity Magazine.

Chuck grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from the Journalism School at the University of Minnesota.

In 2005, Joseph completed a landmark AAAA's White Paper on the birth and growth of the Media Services Agency/Independent.

Jaffe is a Senior Fellow at the Center for the Digital Future at the USC Annenberg School. He has also lectured part-time at NYU's Stern School of Business, Cornell's Johnson School of Business and Syracuse University.
